I’m Ewelina Paczkowska, also known as Welka (my nickname, and the inspiration behind the name of my blog, Welka’s World). I’m a Microsoft Security MVP specializing in Microsoft Purview and a Data Security & Governance Lead at Threatscape, based in Ireland.
I’ve been working in IT and cybersecurity for several years, with my journey taking me through technical support, security consulting, solution architecture, and now leading a team focused on data security and governance.
A big part of my work revolves around helping organizations navigate Microsoft Purview, from information protection and data loss prevention to insider risk management, data governance, and securing data in the age of AI.
Outside of my day-to-day work, I’m an active member of the Microsoft community. I regularly speak at conferences and user groups, share technical insights on my blog, and enjoy learning from and contributing to the wider security community.

Microsoft Purview is constantly evolving, and keeping up with all the announcements, roadmap updates, Message Center notifications, and new capabilities can sometimes feel like a full-time job.
Every week, I’ll be curating the most relevant product announcements, upcoming changes, technical guidance, and valuable contributions from the community.
The goal is to help you stay informed about what’s changing, what’s coming, and what actually matters, without having to keep track of countless blogs, documentation pages, roadmap items, and social media posts yourself.
I’ll also share practical observations and insights from working with Microsoft Purview in real-world environments, whenever I think a little extra context might be useful.
